Tottenham are top of the Premier League while Arsenal sit bottom for the first time in top-flight history.
Son Heung-min s free-kick sunk Watford 1-0 on Sunday and maintained Spurs perfect record after three matches – the first time they have opened a campaign with three consecutive wins without conceding.
Son s strike on his 200th top-flight appearance also meant Nuno Espirito Santo s men became the second team in Premier League history to open a season with a trio of 1-0 wins.
Contrastingly, Arsenal are winless and goalless after three games for the first time ever, Manchester City crushing Mikel Arteta s side 5-0 on Saturday.
That loss extended the Gunners top-flight losing run to nine against City, their outright longest-ever run of consecutive def…
(GSM) The Mali Football Association have sacked their Nigerian manager Stephen Keshi following their team s disappointing performance at the African Cup of Nations in Angola.
In a press release, the FA criticised the behaviour of some of the players and backroom staff, adding that it would terminate the contracts of the entire coaching staff and medical team.
Mali began their ACN campaign drawing 4-4 with hosts Angola, lost 0-1 to Algeria and beat Malawi 3-1. That win was not enough to advance to the quarter finals.
Keshi, who was an international defender for Nigeria and played for teams as Anderlecht and Strasbourg, joined Mali in 2008 after having started his coaching career with Togo four years earlier.

David Duckenfield, the police s match commander on the day of the Hillsborough tragedy, has admitted that his failure to order the closure of a tunnel at the stadium led to the deaths of 96 people.

Former Manchester United defender Gary Pallister has attempted to downplay the hype surrounding Anthony Martial following the 19-year-old s sublime start to life at Old Trafford since joining the club from Monaco.
The Frenchman has netted five goals in nine appearances in all competitions for United this term and recently picked up the PFA Fans Player of the Month award for September.
Pallister, who was United between 1989 and 1998, has warned that Martial still has a long road ahead of him, though, if he is to become a top player and has mentioned Adnan Januzaj as an example of how a career can stall.
Januzaj hugely impressed when he broke into the first team at United in 2013-14, but has since failed to become a first-team regular and was shipped out on loan…
Football Federation Australia (FFA) has announced that the final rounds of the 2019-20 A-League season have been postponed due to coronavirus.
The A-League had initially gone behind closed doors amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with New Zealand-based side Wellington Phoenix remaining in Australia to complete the regular-season matches prior to the finals.
Monday s clash between Newcastle Jets and Melbourne City went ahead without fans at McDonald Jones Stadium.
However, with Australia introducing strict travel conditions and states shutting down non-essential services, the A-League has followed the NRL and AFL in stopping the season.
The FFA – which hopes to reschedule games to complete the campaign – will review the situation over the coming weeks, with a…

Looking to finish off the job on Tuesday night and book their spot in the quarter-finals of this year s Champions League, Real Madrid will welcome Atalanta to the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano.
Real Madrid
Starting with the hosts, while they might have not been at their best once again over the weekend, Real Madrid managed to pick up a much-needed and dramatic victory on home soil. Eventually snatching a last-gasp winner after falling 1-0 behind against Elche at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano, Los Blancos still find themselves with an outside chance to defending their La Liga crown this season. Once again managing to snatch a late point away at league leaders and bitter rivals Atletico Madrid earlier in the month, The Whites seem to be …
Too strong for City?

Arsenal v Stoke
Arsenal have lost three in a row and their high hopes for glory this season have hit something of a stumbling block. The loss of Robin van Persie is starting to look like a serious blow. After the fuss around the lack of the Wenger handshake he could be tested again here as he has not always been a big fan of Stoke’s tactics.
Stoke are still looking good in mid-table but they are unlikely to be able to live with Arsenal’s free-flowing football.
I fully expect Arsenal to get back to winning ways.

The World Cup may be over, but the international break will ensure that we don t forget what it feels like to support our home country. Over the course of the next few weeks, a handful of friendlies and Nations League games will take place, with varying degrees of importance for them all. One such game is Portugal vs Croatia, which will pit two teams against each other who were once called dark horses of international football, but now, they re major players on the world stage.
Portugal
The Portuguese were viewed as dark horses throughout the course of the World Cup this past summer, and while they weren t able to progress beyond the Round of 16, the fact that they re still the European champions will …
